  • Bob Peterson helped me decide

I was driving my ReadiRide bus through Dixon on my way to pick up two passengers that were going to different destinations on alternate sides of town. I was trying to decide which one I should drop off first when I passed McDonalds and saw this beautiful coral and cream 61 Hawk on the back of a trailer. The guys in the truck were just getting out and I noticed the driver was none other than Bob Peterson. I pulled into the parking lot to say hey to Bob and take another look at the car. Bob told me he had just picked up the car from Sal and was going to ship it to Australia.

My second riders were a father and teenage son. So, I decided to give them a treat and take them by the car. (it was on the way to their destination) Needless to say, they really loved the car. It's always fun to expose young people to cars that have been out of production since their parents were babies.

Anyway, it was a gorgeous car and someone in Australia is going to be pleased when it arrives.

Maybe Bob can post a picture.

He bought that Hawk pre ebay from us. A bit of a project, but a solid car.

In the barn actually. Does that make it a true "barn find"?

Happy to see the U.S. exporting something. This will help the balance of payments. I wish it was being exported to Pittsburgh.
