  • M series moves on its own, really

Looks like the $50.00 investment by Gary for a new head gasket, oil, ant freeze and spark plugs paid off. It fired right up, smoked like mad until the oil I'd poured in the cylinders cleared out and ran well enough to drive it around the yard. I was going to try for driveway brakes, but the pot nut on metal cap on the MC was busted, so I quit.

I think you've accomplished the funnest part of working on an old vehicle...taking a deceased vehicle and bringing it back to life with out spending much money. I've revived an International KB-5 mailvan after sitting for 40 years and a '64 Stude Cruiser that sat for about 12 years. I was very excited when I got these to come back to life! Especially when they moved under their own power.

Yep, that's why I did the free labor to do it, fun. I just had to see it run after Lord knows how many years.

Just the ones I took before I bought it. Just your average $1000 truck that looked like it would not run.

Thanks, gives a much better appreciation of how "rough" it is.

Hot darn, we are in business now! I still have a gallon of paint left from the fire truck and may just have to convince George to Tremclad this one as well.
