bought a new coil, and ballast resistor. On the wiring harnes I have the Pink wire and a Black wire molded into a common end, which seems to look stock. I keep reading that the pink wire needs to go to the ballast but mine does not seem to be set up that way. If I so that than the black wire will go there also. Than I need to run another wire from the other end of the ballast to the coil.
What do I have wrong or if you have a pic of how you hooked this up that would be great.

    Here's your wiring diagram...

The pink wire is a "resistance wire". You don't use a ballast resistor with it. It goes direct to the + side of the coil. The green wire with a black tracer that is connected to it goes to the I terminal on the solenoid.
