Want to buy a Starter for a 1959 Truck 6L

I do not care it is 6V or 12V

Does it matter what brand it is? Some years had Delco and some had Prestolite/Autolite.

mdm6003 is the correct number as far as I know.

Possibly mnm6007 unsure.

Truck starter is completely different from a car starter. (On 6 cylinders).

What size engine is this? 170 or 245?

Can't get e-mail to work. According to Matthew it won't work,
and I believe he may be right. This starter mounts on drivers
side. Does yours mount on passenger side?

Also, isn't there a different bendix gear tooth count between 6V and 12V??? You'll care if this is the case and this thing chews up the bendix gear and/or the ring gear in short order![B)]
