  • exhaust stud

After a bit of cutting and hacking I have hooked up an exhaust off of a long gone GT hawk to my '55 Champion. However, the exhaust manifold is missing the studs that connect to the exhaust pipe. Anyone have the size of said studs and know if they might be readily available at a local parts store?

Common item at your local parts store. thread a bolt into the hole and you will have your size.

The Parts Manuals normally give the diameter, thread, and length of the studs. Check it out.

The passenger side manifold studs are longer to permit bolting in the "flapper" valve.

You can get replacement stud kits from SI and others with brass nuts to keep from seizing. Worth it!
