I just bought the nice remains of a 53 pickup. I can use some parts on my truck then sell what I can't. The owners had been packing the whole thing (minus) the running gear around for ten plus years. They were wanting to put it on something more modern. Now they have three kids & no time for it. The wife was happy to see a Stude truck pull in to load it up. She even came out and took pictures. It was getting dark when we loaded it last night, and the cab is still in the back of my truck. So I can't get the door open for the model number. I'm waiting on help to unload the cab. I go back for the front wrap and bed today. The PO had transferred title here in Calif and then no-oped it. The Vin is R5I09227. I know the "I" should be a "1" but that's the way DMV has it.
