  • 9-25 Eye Candy for FRIDAY

  • #2
I am 65 years old, and was 18 in 1962, so all i
can say is, WOW. This brings back memories of
the local Dairy Queen parking lot on Friday and
    Saturday night (good memories)

Quite a good job of making a pleasing body line around those rear openings. Nice work!

Another inspirational post. Thank you again. Son of ChickenHawk, maybe?

Another car I've long wanted to build, but will probably never have.

Champ, is the old girl a four-wheeler or just elevated? If the latter... why? It would de-stabilize the car on turns (high centre of gravity and all...). It looks good,[^] I suppose. Certainly better than anything I've got.

My guess is the front is raised to get more weight transfered to the rear wheels under accelleration. That car looks like a straight line, go faster. Not a street driver.

Doug, it is a old school "period correct" type car.
At least, I think tha's what they call them now. There
                is no technology involved.

Ron, Back in the day (i remember them!) that was the thing to do. Put an axle under it and raise the front end for better weight transfer.
I had a 59 Impala set up like that with a 409! Those were the days!
And no, it was not intended to be driven on mountainess roads like where you live!
