On temporary loan for the event.

      1955 Packard Predictor
The Predictor represents the end of postwar Packard Concept Cars. It remains today at the National Studebaker Museum in South Bend, Indiana, who after learning that Ralph Marano was displaying all of the other Packard Concept Cars, [u]generously agreed to let the car go to the Fairfield event. </u>

there's something here about him owning 6 other packard concepts

quote:The Fairfield County Concours d'Elegance will host the world's first display of an example of each Packard Concept Car ever built, seven in total, at the Fairfield County Hunt Club in Westport, Connecticut on September 13, 2009.
Six of the Packard Concept cars are owned by New Jersey collector Ralph Marano. The seventh and last Packard Concept Car produced, the 1956 Packard Predictor, is coming from the National Studebaker Museum in South Bend, Indiana.

'Was this pic took at SASCO?'

Yes. I remember the Transtar truck behind the building. Very neat picture

The more I look at that car the more I believe one could make a close copy using a Lincoln and a Mercury Turnpike Cruiser for parts. Still would be wuite a job, but between those two cars you could get close.

To me, that '54 Panther looks like a Packard Hawk that's sneering.[:0]
