Welcome to the forum Dan! I can't help you much on putting a value on it, but others might. On the top of the forum index, there is a sticky that tells you how to post a picture. Good luck, and look forward to possibly seeing a pic of it.

If you click on Bob Shaws message on how to post a picture, and I found the video one the best one to check out, with a little practice you will be able to get it. Bob is the Web Master and realy help full.

Likely a sedan converted to a truck based on the fact that the rear panel doesn't seem to match the rest. In any case it would make a good start for a pickup. The sheet metal appears to be in very good shape.

Dont know the answer to your question but I have seen several pics and articles that indicate converting a car to truck use was fairly commonplace in that era vehicles. The most recent article I recall was an article in TW on Stude wreckers but I have seen others. Steve

Looks like Rat Rod potential to me! Nice Stude 289 with blunderbuss headers![:p]

Dan, shy of ebay, posting about this thing on the Antique Studebaker Club's website would likely generate more interests. They're focused on the prewar Studes (WWII of course).[^]

The Antique Studebaker Club's forum is simply a link to the Studebaker page of the Antique Automobile Club of America's Forum.

Seems a shame the Studebaker Drivers Club Forum can't muster more interest in the pre-war products.[V]
