Hi this is just a few pictures from the orphan car show in Branson MO. On Friday we had a "little" rain and Saturday was a beautiful day. I will try to get more pictures listed soon. Dusty and Wanda

All great cars, but I love the Darrin and the Muntz.

I have seen the Darin before, but I did not see it Saturday. Did he leave early or was it well hidden? Also the M series Culligan truck was there when we arrived and then must have left. We didn't get a close look.

Great turnout of cool looking cars.
I had planned to be there, but it just didn't work out.
Maybe next year!

Dusty,
Thank you for posting the pictures. We had a great time again.
Anyone out there that has never attended this show should try to make it sometime.
We'd love to have you.

The Orphan show made their newspaper yesterday. Several of the cars are featured with pictures. Good old Car Purdy made the front page in his business coupe. The Muntz was also pictured.

Were there any Pontiacs or Oldsmobiles there? You know we have to make room for them now!

The Pontiac Club was set to start the next day. There were a few hanging around the edges of the show by Saturday afternoon. Several enclosed trailers with Pontiac logos were in the parking lot as we were leaving.

We have had Oldsmobiles at the show in the past.
The Pontiac Club had a show scheduled for Sunday and Monday the days after the Orphan Show.
The Pontiacs should be accepted next year. There will be a date cut off though. (They will also have an all Pontiac show scheduled for Sunday and Monday of Labor Day weekend next year).

Nice assortment of cars at the meet. I agree that the most interesting cars are the Muntz Jet and the Darrin.
In our AACA club, there's a couple who own a Kaiser Darrin. Beautiful car and it runs well.
We also have a member with an Edsel.
It's an eclectic bunch.

Geez, looking at the pic of that black square headlight Avanti (plate #SB5 J3T) you'd never guess that Studebaker had serious problems getting those bodies straight in the early years.

That's one razor sharp paint job [^]
