Actually not much different than a lot of Mr. Lowey's "customs"!

I've seen this before. I think it is included in the book about the 53,4,5's "Studebaker's Finest" by Richard somebody who has a condescending writing style, but great research support (try reading his tips on restoration without muttering). Apparently Leowy unveiled this mock up car at a Studebaker corporate conference with something akin to self-deprecating humour. The car had exaggerated options and accessories much like the man, himself.

When I first saw this post I thought, Raymond Loewy ran a Funny Car? Is there anything this man did not design? ;)

Looks like a cool article
