You Oahuans have all the fun. []

Wonder what Young Bros would charge me to bring it over... probably twice what he's asking for it [}]

        Will,
Glad to see you finally made the transition. Do you miss Chico (). Between you and Keoni, we all have yet another excuse to spend some of the winter in the islands! [8D]

Perfect, it may only have a 6 Cyl. and Automatic, but it's already nosed and decked! [^]

Both "V"'s and "S"'s are gone and filled! [:0] Ditto the quarter panel ones, I think.

Pheeew, looks like you'll have your work cut out for you, I vote you find something in a little better shape.
Looking at getting a reasonable driver myself and definatly want to avoid excess work, It's easy enough (here in Ca.)
            To find.
May be a different story over there though.
Are you up for it or do you just want to buy something that needs minor work to be a driver?
            Dean.

Keoni- I just had Young Brothers barge over (8) pallets of Flip Flops!!! (I'm on Kauai)

Yep Dick, made it over safe and sound. Hoping to open the doors to my new business here in the next few weeks. I miss my friends and a few restaurants in Chico, but otherwise am extremely happy to be here -NO 100 degree heat and NO college students makes me one happy camper I'm even contemplating shipping the Avanti over. So far I've seen a Lambo Miura & Countach, a Ferrari CA Spyder & GTO, a Porsche Speedster, and a Jag XKE. No Studebakers...yet. I'm thnking I might just have to change that

As far as the '53 goes, I was thinking it would be cool to just drive it as is and let it spend it's last days bombing around the island. You can't go faster than 50 MPH anywhere here, so it wouldn't even have to run THAT well

...and probably not more than twice that many functioning Studebakers - though I did get a teaser shot last week of a VERY nice looking Transtar pickup I'd never seen before, hiding in plain sight under a tarp on the ground floor of a building being refurbished right in the middle of Beautiful Downtown Hilo.

Hope springs eternal but the signature line says it all.

During the short time I was on Kaua'i I saw not one Studebaker. Also never got the chance to drive the entire perimeter of The Garden Island.

                        Get it before Pele does.

Then, it's about time you guys put in a bid for the SDC International Meet!
                        Aloha!
