May we assume this post is penance for yesterday's Studebaker-Pie contribution, Jeffster?

We will have to consult The Board of Studebaker Elders to see if this is adequate. They meet daily here on the forum. Judgment will likely be posted sporadically.

    Stay tuned.[}] BP

Bob I would have to agree it is at least an attempt and making up for yesterday's post.

I remember seeing that green color before...

Somewhere in the past I read about the purchase and restoration of this particular Studebaker. However, since the car doesn't choose who owns it, I don't mind if someone notorious drove it. The owner has a nice collection, too.

Maybe it was International Drive Your Studebaker Day. The guy was going to take the Jag to assinate Mahatma Ghandi but thought that in light of the fact that it was IDYSD, "might as well take the Studie."

Well.... (not to be a picker of nits)
Since Ghandi died on January 30, 1948 at 5:12pm
That would make it about 61 years before the first IDYSD[].
                  But I have a question...
                  What model Jag was it?

The car is not a '30. It is a 1933 Studebaker Six Model 56 convertible sedan. An extremely rare car. I met a fellow from India at the Hershey swap meet maybe 5 years ago that had a car similar to this and I suspect it is the same car.

Well, Jeff; if that's your father's 1961 Hawk in the background, may we surmise you were practicing for your Calvin & Hobbs audition? BP
