  • If You Could Only Have ONE...

Here's a question that came to mind tonight that sparked our curiosity: If you could only own ONE Studebaker, what would it be? Would you keep one that you already have (if you already own one or several), or would you exchange it for/purchase a different "Stude Of Your Dreams?" For fun, we'll assume that price is no object. We'll also say that if more than one person owns a Studebaker in the family, they can each have their own vehicle.

I have what I want (it's my third of the same body style) and wouldn't give it up, but if I found a rather large stack of money with eyeballs on it, I'd buy the Kart Hauler. []

You'll think I'm overly sentimental (or just mental![)]), but I wouldn't trade my '59 4-door for ANY car, Studes or otherwise.
Given to me by my Uncle at 15 (he owned it since I was born), drove to high school, had it for almost 30yrs, etc etc etc. It's far from a dream car to anyone but me, but you asked!

It's a tough call, even though I am partial to the sedans... I think if I could have only one it would be a 60 lark convertible.

Second place would be a 53 land cruiser, fully loaded with all the chrome and acc's possible.

            Sedans Rule!!!

One day Nelson Bove will come home to find this missing...

A clone is nice, but I'd like the real deal.

Last time it was a 56 Golden Hawk

But now that i've been close enough to hug one it would be a 1958 two door Hardtop. Maroon with shadow pin stripes, cream white button tucked leather interior, big and littles.Lowered to the ground with lake pipes, smitty mufflers, and catch can flame thrower tail pipe tips. And of course twin appleton spots. sigh

Midge the 2dr wagon would be next.

I bought it last year. 53 Commander C body coupe. Original velvet black,
with scarlet vinyl interior. Searched for a couple of years, to find one
like I wanted, that i could buy.

Maybe a real nice 64 Cruiser with Power Steering/Power Disc an R2 option and an air conditioner with a AM/FM radio. And i want it Black with the widest whitewalls they offered in 1964, but in Radials. Also with Blue Broadcloth upholstry. Factory fender skirts and dual antennas. add a 5 speed transmission w/ OD. reclining seats and be a 399 point car.
