Hi everyone,
last Sunday a Studebaker UK car club member invited a few other Stude owners to the Wolesely car show meet in Rugely, just north of Birmingham in the UK to a rather large estate on the site of an old Priory.
Present were Richard and John Pratt in their wonderful 50 Champion chick magnet convertible, Paul and Elaine Eccles in their lovely 1962 GT and myself, Kristine, mother in law from Toronto Margaret and of couse baby Eilish at 17 months old.
It was a great day. The most interesting car was Lord Nuffield's 1938 Wolesely 25 cabriolet given to him by the factory workers. It has about 30k original miles on the cloack and has never been restored.
Here are a few snaps. Thanks to Johnny Pratt for inviting us out for this interesting and well organised day.
Tomorrow we leave for Dublin and a tour of the northern part of Ireland in the 1937 Australian built Dictator Cruising Sedan. We will be back in early Sept and I will post a few pics then.
Enjoy
Greg
Once Eilish had discovered running boards for the forst time she just wanted to sit and enjoy herself on this new type of seat.

Richard Pratt's 1950 Champion Convertible
The 3 gate crashing Studebakers.
Eilish went for her first drive at 17 months old on dads knee. She was facinated by the operation of the steering wheel and the use of the gear stick. Luckily her feet can't reach the pedals as that would make thing real interesting. Surprisingly my wife Kristine was not to happy about dad's antics, but this picture shows pretty clearly that Eilish thought it was just good old fun.
