Thank you, we hope to have it on the road in 2011. It will have a 289 with a Chrysler 4 speed overdrive transmission. With a 9 inch Ford rear end. It has a Mustang II front suspension. I'm doing all the work myself, so it's a little slow. There is still a lot of floor board rust. I will post more pictures as I get a little farther along. Dusty

Been away from the computer for a couple of days. Yes, Frank it probably does look familiar. Maybe some day mine will be done like yours. Thanks for the pictures and the information. I will probably ask more questions later on. And Bob, as far as the '42 fender lights, they are very nice, but I am not going to put them on this car. I am looking for a 1946 Champion center of the hood chrome piece, the one that all the way down the center of the hood. I haven't got my parts book with me right now, for a parts number. Being the car is going to be modified, since the '42 has the plastic insert on the end of it and the '46 is the solid metal piece and looks better. I Appreciate you letting me know about the '42 lights and there will more pictures soon. Dusty

              Dusty,
I love your rear bumper 'fill' treatment...

But why the flattened center part?

That's the way the bumper was made, I did not change it in the center. I was afraid if I brought the bumper out rounded, it would look too thick in the center. Thanks for the nice comments about the car. I'm possibly going to do the same treatment to the front of the car. But have not got that far yet. Dusty

I only see one problem, need more pictures more often.

Dusty, you have made some nice additions to the 42.
                    Gonna be a neat ride.

                      NIce work, Dusty! [][]

Those coupes were meant to be hot rods!! Real pretty shape. Great wheel choice.

I'd be tempted to leave the hood sides off to show off that Stude powerplant.

                      Keep the updates coming.

(Doing my best to think like a 1930's Studebaker engineer and designer..)
Betcha a donut is it flat like that so you can push the car if you need to 'without slipping off'...
                        Jeff[8D]
PS: I'd round it off t'were it me, but I like nice rounded curves at the back end[:0]
