I think the last R3 was bid to @ $20,000 and ended up selling early off line. No one knows what the final price was AFAIK.

Funny thing is I had considered putting my R-4 on eBay. Wouldn't it have been a hoot is two of Studebaker's rarest engines were on eBay at the same time (Jon Myer told me one time that he thought only eight complete B-numbered R-4s were built).

Actually, the air cleaner is a Corvette air cleaner and is available repro from Corvette vendors. It's a very soft (flimsy) piece and is easily dented and the air filter is just a piece of foam (like a pre-filter) around the inside perimeter- not exactly a "dusty conditions" air cleaner.
