Paul; without looking it up I think you mean the Center Moulding on the the protruding "point" of the '64-'65 Deck lid? The one that is always smashed! [xx(]

            Hey Paul,

While they are tough to find, I did find one just last year complete in it's original wrapper.
They are out there just be patient. I just about gave up when I got this one.
            I'll ask around for you.

If this is the ribbed piece about 6" or 8" wide, I bought up a half dozen or so at SASCO last month. They have more, but they don't have a part number on them so it remains to be seen if they can find them.I don't have any immediate recollection where I found them in the building.

Nate I know what you are saying. I have a 63 Daytona, those pieces you are talking about fit on the trunk panel underneath the lid. This piece I am talking about fits on the trunk lid itself and in the middle has a hole for the lock, it is aluminum, not pot metal. It is ribbed and has kind of a v-shape to conform to the rear part of the 64 trunk lid. Used on 64 Y and other models.

Frank, the piece you have is for the Cruiser. The Daytona has three separate thin strips running horizontally. The center strip is about 1/2 inch wide and is impossible to find in good condition.

If not available, have your original moulding repaired. Many places will do this for under $100 bucks (or so I've been quoted). Lots of companies advertise for this in Hemmings.
