This tag in the engine compartment 63V4 971,not really sure what it indicates, but the tag I'm curious about is right next to it in the same lettering, the word 'QUICK'. What does that signify[?]

This might be something peculiar to CKD cars (Studebakers assembled overseas). That primary tag doesn't really make sense in that it ought to read something like "63V-F4" or some such thing. The 63V defining a '63 V8-engined car - The second letter defining the body style (f=2dr, y=4dr, etc.) and the number after that letter defining trim level.
But "Quick"? Maybe 'cause it was slated to be R-powered?[]

No deceptive flags to prove I'm patriotic - no biblical BS to impress - just ME and Studebakers - as it should be.

probably REALLY SAYS "F4" - not FA. Regal would be F4 in '63

Wow sorry 'bout all the confusion, just my handwritings pretty rough atop all the grime ,63 f4 971 is correct. But I got a bit of heresay info on how the car came to be.Studerbaker in S.A at that time had allocated a car for racing purposes,A Mr Frank Rundel had approached them saying that it would cost Studerbaker "X" amount to run the car for the season. At the same time the Marriner brothers said that given the car they would "bankroll" it themselves!Although he raced all over the world ,I am lead to believe that Bernie Marriner[late] ran the car very sucssesfully in and around S.A.
Sorry for the F4 mistake[:I]
