This afternoon Gord Richmond dropped by on his way home.
Got to hear all about Cedar Rapids and his trip to SASCO.
We solved the worlds problems for a bit then he was off
to North Dakota and points northwest.

What a good guy that Gordr is. [^] We spent some time at CR and he helped me with more than a couple important problems and some good meals. Hope he makes it back safely.

Gord, spent a fair amount of time at the motorhome drinking a beer or two, he also always carries his own and a chair so he can fit in any time, super nice guy and knows a lot about fixing Studebakers and life in general, hope he has a good trip home...Bob

So that's why my ears were burning!

Thanks for all the kind words. My laptop cratered, so I've been out of touch the last few days. Just got home tonight, with one really ugly '56 Commander 4-door on the trailer. I'll take some pictures tomorrow.

A really uneventful trip, other than the good times, hospitality, and camaraderie of fellow Studebaker folks.

        Thanks to everyone!

Welcome home, Gord. Glad you made it back safely. How'd the SASCO trip go? You really need an entire day there. Nice to be home from an uneventful trip.
I will tell you how lucky I got; my Tahoe blew the intake seal for the coolant and I barely made it home from work when I got back. The hour in Gary, Indiana waiting for traffic to clear from that Semi truck fire last Saturday could have been the end with the Lark behind me. My '97, 20K mile Audi needed a radiator at the same exact time. The only car working and currently reliable car in my garage is a nearly fifty year old Studebaker. Maybe the Bail Out Studebaker bumper magnet got to my GM's feelings a little. Thanks for the seat cover shipping, Gord. Hope it is the correct one.

Gord: Glad you got home safely. I certainly enjoyed your company in C/R. I got home Sunday morning right on time.

Did you partake in some of his 'Grasshopper' adult Canadian beverage?
He did a 'Rehydration Station' job on me in the Clarion parking lot with that stuff.
My head told me I was not in Canada the next morning[}]
(But bless him just the same[]...Thanks Gord!)

We each enjoyed a Sam Adams I had in the fridge.
I know all too well Gord's beer frolics.
When he stayed over on the way to the last SB meet
he had 3 types of Canuck juice. One was called Hophead.
One of the others may have been Grasshopper.
I'll drink one just to be sociable

I Hopheaded myself into forgetfulness, too. Set the tone for the entire week. Oh well.
