  • CeRap, here I come (update: Made it- and back!)

Just pulling out, but wanted to share this quote; it's from the preface of a book called Americana- Roadside Memories, by Tim Steil... it speaks for me as well[8D]:

I suppose there are people in this world who are unaffected by the smell of diesel smoke. That, leaning against a truck stop gas pump at 3 AM, a warm summer breeze full of corn pollen, and exhaust fumes bathing them would not give them an urge to purchase a tall coffee, jump on the nearest highway and drive until daylight just to see what's there. I am suspicious of them.

    Me too, Mr. Steil

Good Lord (and Highway Patrol) willing, I'll see you Monday afternoon![^]

What more could one want a rode to somewhere and the will to drive it. Long drive but I made to CR today. Have a safe trip and watch that guy following you in the rearview.

Wish I could be there with you folks. It would be a wonderful drive from here, but life sometimes, well... quite often really (LOL), gets in the way. I hope you have a great trip Bob, and everyone there has a great time.

Well, I don't know about the corn pollen, but you should be getting a good dose of Cotton wood blowing in the air!

Be safe and we'll be looking for ya!
