Exploring the new neighborhood on horseback has some rewards...sort of. Yesterday, I found two huge paper hornets nests. One up high, and one down low. (Just last week a guy found an incredibly huge one and crated it up. I saw it at the tire place as he was getting ready to ship it to a collector in Canada. Sold it for $3500![:0].. Also flushed a big doe from the treeline. Startled me more than the horses.
And I found two abandoned cars of interest. I walked out and took pic's of the one today. When I saw it, I couldn't tell what kind of car it was, let alone tell it was a wagon. It's that far in the brush...
Anyways, turns out it is a Rambler wagon. Upside down. The spindles and brakes are gone, as is the engine and trans. The driveshaft and diff are there. The chrome and trim are all there, but some is morked. Some of the pot metal pieces looked pretty good.
Anyways, here are some pic's just for grins...
