What makes a Lark truck a 'longbed stepside, versess a Champ 1/2 ton Pickup?

  • #2
The pickup beds on the T-cab (lark) trucks are two different lengths. Long and short. Most of the Champs have "fleetside" or full width beds, but early models had a narrower bed with fenders or "stepside."

All 1/2 and 3/4 Ton 1960 to 1964 Studebaker Trucks are "Champ" Trucks, those (most) ordered with a Pickup Box, would be referred to as Champ Pickups.

There are no Lark Trucks, only Champs with the "Lark" type "T" Cab.
