          I bought a nice, unrestored 75 Avanti II for 6k that I wouldn't have hesitated to drive 'cross country, a few years ago. Sold it for 10k.
          This one's no "deal" fer shure!

            Yeah, but this one has a nice straight body. Think of all the money you'd save versus buy an Avanti with a rusty dented body.

              Maybe he paid that for it since AMC quit making Studebakers a while back and they're very rare, and is expecting to get it back.........

                Some people just figure they have something really rare since it says Studebaker on it and they want to retire on what they sell it for, I have seen a few like that and a little later its, will you come and get this out of my yard? happen lots of times, that what makes the world go around...Bob

                  That one in Michigan wouldn't be bad. I have a 1969 383 Dodge motor in the barn with a 833 4 speed that would look good under the hood of that Avanti.
