  • July TW and R. Quinn

Loved this latest TW, but saddened to not have a monthly Richard Quinn "Almanac" section. I have corresponded a few times over the years with Richard and always appreciated that he remembered I was friends with the owner of the Carl E. Filer Co. dealership. In around 1990 he sent me a wonderful 1947 professional photo of the dealership from his collection, which I treasure, and later sent me a photo from the dealership in 1961, from the Studebaker News.

Looking forward to your future contributions, even if not regular, to TW, RQ!

The photo of "Senor" Quinn serenading the ladies at the front of July's TW is certainly as 'classic' as any Studebaker shown within!

    Thanks again,

      Same sentiment.

I think that Mr Quinn knowledge is a treasure that we should carePlease Richard, maintain your column. Otherwise we will never know accurate details of the Stude history

It's my understanding that Richard will, on occasion, contribute stories in TW. He's a wealth of Studebaker knowledge. He is, after all, entitled to some down time after all these years.
Thanks Richard for all that you've done for our hobby.

Yet to receive our June issue of TWs in Australia so will enjoy Dick's last regular ALMANAC column. As a serious collector of Studebaker memorabilia I have thoroughly enjoyed these regular columns for many years & have my seperate file on Sir Richard for quick reference. Along with the other positive comments by Forum members I must say " thanks & well done Dick " for the enjoyment you have given to so many of us over the years. Good luck for your future.
