2R5 your profile says Ontario ?? that is not a small town? It looks like a nice old place that most of us older people know and remember but most always move away from, sure wish I lived in one now. I grew up in the the north star state if anyone know where that is and it is not Texas..Bob

Ya sure you betcha there Bob! That would be Meen-nah-sew-tah, there, ya sure!

The land of a thousand lakes, Minnesota, is a beautiful place to visit and be from, Bob. If you really want to live in a picturesque small town, there's always Ferndale, or Fortuna. A much shorter drive to haul all your stuff, and also much nicer winters.[^]

We had a car show like that yesterday in Three Hills, Alberta. The 27th annual Three Hills Cruise Nite, to be exact. There actually IS a cruise, but I have never done the cruising, just show up for the show and shine.

I arrived there about 11:00 A.M. with my white '64 Daytona hardtop, in crusty "as found" condition. (But it sure drives nice, and the oil leak has in fact been stopped.) It was a showery, blustery day, but we got a little warmth and sunshine as the afternoon wore on. I ran into Bruce Schiffner and Pat Ronak, who came up from Calgary in Bruce's '50 Champion 2 door coach, which he has owned for 30 years. Lovely car, too. Pat is the person from whom I bought my Flxible motor coach, so he and Bruce came back to my place where we had some grilled steaks and beer for supper. I showed them the modification I'd done to the clutch on the Flex, and they both were pleased at how well it worked. We started it up and moved it across the yard. It had sat without moving since about September, and it took only about 10 seconds cranking (the battery was up), and she fired right up. You have to like that!

                Bob--

Dang, that looks like a nice event. Mudcat Festival, right? Betty the Lark and I might've been there too, but some close family friends of ours were celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary the same day. I do still hope to get out to one of the regular Sat nite cruises at the Dunnville Sobey's, at least. (And I still have every intention of taking you up on your polishing tutorial offer...though these days I keep having visions of the Lark in a shiny new coat of metallic light blue instead, imitating her original finish...)

Oo. This weekend coming, eh? I may have to give that a go! You know I have never managed yet to get the Lark to Dunnville...Is the Festival car show Sat/Sun both, or just one day?

                        Bob--

Thanks...Do you happen to know whether the regular Saturday cruise at the Sobey's is on this week too? I've got two possible car shows, both this Saturday only and both about the same distance away...in opposite directions. Doing both probably isn't an option, but if I can combine one with a cruise night in the same town, that'd be the way to go...
