Just got my build sheet for my '57 Commander and learned that it was originally woodsmoke gray/artic white.

Anyone have pics (or can Photoshop them!) of this combination?

Studebakers were made to drive! (Besides, they don't get lost as easy in the Wal-Mart parking lot!)

Closest I have in my files is this 1956 Commander which is Snowcap white/Cambridge Gray which is similar to the 1957 Woodsmoke color.

Thanks, Craig!
I think Woodsmoke/Arctic might be a sharp looking combination. I like the Blue/White combo too, but I've seen several in those colors.

I like being a little different!

IMHO if I were doing a 56J in an original color (but had free choice) that one would be getting serious consideration. Looks good on a sedan too.

Agreed Nate![^] Here is that rather famous one to us in SDC of the solid Cambridge Gray 56J
