  • Dash Pot Metal for My '53 Commander

My 7 pieces running all the way across the top of dash have not aged gracefully, i.e. pitted. I have been told that the restoring/refurbishing process is pretty pricey. So I am asking for a lead on where I might find the pieces in good/excellent condition. And, if necessary, who should I contact about refurbishing? Thanks in advance.

I've got some of those pieces that are probably better'n what you have, or not. It's truly a judgement call for each viewer's eye. But, yes - color them VERY EXPENSIVE to redo and get right!

    1963 Cruiser
    1960 Larkvertible V8
    1958 Provincial wagon
    1953 Commander coupe
    1957 President two door

No deceptive flags to prove I'm patriotic - no biblical BS to impress - just ME and Studebakers - as it should be.

You can check with Jerry Forrester in Ga to have yours redone. Its not cheap anywhere but Jerry does 1st class work comparably priced to shops that turn out lesser quality work. Steve

Jerry redid the ones for my Ute.

        They came out beautiful!
