I read the listing, looked at all the pictures, and I still don't know what these are:

"Museum category, a must have for vintage car collector/restorers. Conversational centerpriece, auto trade show, parts shop, vintage auto, clubs. Never used, never installed, as days they were rolled out from their factory. They don't make parts like them anymore."

I might be interested, since they do have one for a Studebaker Lard[:o)]

I'm pretty sure they are radio adapter kits from the Cartrol Co. used to put aftermarket radios in factory dash locations.

It is obviously a little ugly guy who hides beneath your car and may eat you if you don't get inside quickly. My mistake - that's a car troll.

Its interesting they didn't show any contents, other than say they have a a Cartrol to fit a 1963 Studebaker Lard.

I looked at other boxes, and the key one seems to be Cartrol STL59A for a 1959 Studebaker Lark. The package says it mounts a Motorola radio into the dash of a 1959 Lark.

That's my guess.

(I guess I can't type fast enuff)

Maybe it works like Geritol on people to get the "Lard" out of your '63 Studebaker... [}:)];)

Not to mention it's not even clear if you're buying your choice or the whole lot[}:)] They do, however, try to avoid possible "parts swatting";) So I guess you shouldn't swat your Lard[:o)]

I got car trolls under my dash. They've been chewing up the wiring under there for years, judging by the droppings [:o)]

So bob40, you're saying it's a faceplate? I'm still not clear.

I tried Google, but all that came up was a medication. Maybe these boxes are full of Beta Blockers...?:)

OK, this clears it up. I wrote the seller and asked him what Cartrols were. His response was....

"Hi,
These are car's parts."

Well hey, that clears it up then ! [}:)] Thanks a bunch Dick! :D

Wouldn't it be appropriate to at least open ONE box of hundreds, to let the buyer have a clue if it's a Water Pump, Antenna Kit, or maybe even a Radio Install Kit, but for what Radio? [:0] :(

I guess my Lard needs one, because it SURE does NOT have one! [:o)]
Oh, wait a minute I don't have a Lard! [:0]

I would assume (but you know what happens when you do that) that the radios are in the boxes since the listing says "All units have been tested power-on status before shipping" But it would be nice to know, especially if you were someone interested in bidding on them. Why no picture of what's in the box? I am always amazed at peoples listings.
This is also on eBay so they are defiantly radio parts.
I am glad I didnt email the seller to ask, I would not have liked that awswer!

the listing says "Inside is a listing of the radios and what cars they will fit into along with a listing of the adaptor kits"

The boxes are empty.
It's merely a front to sell drugs.
Who else would pay $388. for a pile of boxes with unknown content.
Instead of eye candy your getting nose candy. [8D]
