DanTheFan,
Rare. Almost nonexistent. Highly sought after. Common request by people not knowing their rarity. If discovered and you have competition from others trying to buy them you could see in excess of $1,500 for a pair. Individually they might go for more. I might be low.....
---->Have you discovered a pair OR is this just a hypothetical query?

The philosophic answer to the question of "What is it worth" depends on ... are you buying or selling? ... and, do you merely want it or do you really "Need" it?

I have a pair and holding on to them for years and probably will sell them to finance another Stude project. I sold my truck and still have a bunch of sheetmetal that I had been accumulating over the years. If I could get $1500 for them I'd be on that in a heartbeat.

I would bet if you put them up for sale here and on the Studebaker Truck Forum - http://www.network54.com/Forum/23885/ - they would be gone before sunset.

I've got a solid, straight, used RF one that I wouldn't take less than $500 for.

They are worth what ever someone will pay, and sometimes you will be surprised, have a long list of items that have sold on E-Bay at unheard of prices, so if you really want to sell them put a price on them and offer them to the forum, or Put them on E-bay with a reserve of what you will take and sit back and watch,...Bob

Wow, okay, I'm not going to drive my truck once I get it running. I must protect those fenders. They won't get into trouble in my garage!
