    I could not get these pictures to post, so follow the link and scroll down about 1/2 way to the post by David Welch to see a Weasel in action this past weekend at a military show.

                    There is a military vehicle collector who drops me notes from time to time on Weasel's that are for sale. He sent me the link yesterday from a get together they had last weekend. I was out of Studebakers from 1982 until 1999 and was at a consignment auction about 1994 when a Weasel came up for sale. I looked at it but did not bid, as I recall it brought about $1200.

                        Speaking of Weasels, Dennis Foster of New Jersey recently sent me a photo of his 1943 M29. Here's what Dennis' note said:

                        "Hi! Just thought you may want to post a photo of my early 1943 M29 Weasel. It's an early weasel as it was made before the M29C Amphibian model weasel and doesn't have the side apron flairs or floatation tanks."

                            Here's the shot of them coming out of the water:


                            It is eerily like a shot from the WWII period when the Weasel was being developed and tested in some swamps. This shot, I think, was the one used in some Studebaker ads during WWII that featured the Weasel.
