    before i get carried away i assemble my engines with half 90 w gear oil and 30 w. non-detergent oil with a can of stp. this has worked on all the engines i have rebuilt for the last 35 years. i run it for a couple of hundred miles when drain it and in stall 20 w 50w synthetic oil with no additives. what does every body use in there studes? will syn work ok? its penzoil brand

    I have heard that since the "new oils" are so good, that the Harley Dealers reassemble with WD-40 on the piston rings & cylinder walls only, bearings assembly lube. This allows the rings to seat in on the cylinder walls.
