I am posting for my friend Chuck. He has a 289 engine # P83319 and would like to know the year. Also the Transmission # he gave me is 37773 AS10-5P. He would appreciate any help you can give him.

Looks like that's a '62 vintage 289. That tranny's out of a 61-64 Stude V8 car with column shift. Standard, not heavy, duty.[^]
