  • Interesting Studebaker use

My brother-in-law asked me to come up to some property he bought and clean it up.He wants all the "junk" removed so along with the threshing machines, tractors and antique farm equipment this Studebaker was in the mix

Looks like someone cut off the roof and body from the doors back and built a wood box.

You think you are going to save it? It would be a interesting car to show at a meet.

Why??? If you recall, while 75% of the golf course was destroyed by Bill M., the gopher lived on undaunted! [}]

You see a lot of vehicles like that around here. Back in the day...most were Model A's and were used to haul peaches out of the orchards. They are the original "rat rods" and are mostly seen in parades. We call'em "Peach Flats."

                              John,

A few years ago I followed a lead to a '23 Stude that had been made into a farm truck during WWII. Stuck engine and everything behind the front seat, long gone. The guy had found a tired but solid original touring body to "restore" the thing. Seems like he wanted $9K or some such - which to my mind was about $7K too much.
