  • Rubber glue removal

I need to re-glue the rubber on some parts of the Hawk which was done a couple of years ago. The glue did not adhere well and the rubber keeps "rolling" or coming off, especially along the door. What can I use to remove the old glue and not damage the new paint job (clear coat)? Also what is a better glue to use and how much of the old glue needs to be removed off of the rubber to re-use it.

    Thanks

Use 3M General Purpose Adhesive Cleaner #08987. (MSDS says nasty stuff if inhaled)
Re-glue with 3M Super Trim Adhesive. Follow instructions; don't be hasty.
