Transtar ID

I got the body tag off the Transtar cab that the dash pad came from that I put on the '59. I was told that the cab is a '57. The serial # is E16-45365 and the model # is 4E16-155. The HP rating is 95 HP at 3200 RPM and the gross weight is 15,000 lbs. So, what can you ID masterminds tell me about this one?

I'm no mastermind but from what you said and what Mike has just posted. Its the heavest Studebaker 1 ton on the planet. weighing in at a lofty 15,000 pounds.[B)]

This is a 1959 1 1/2 ton truck with the Big 6 (245 CID Commander) motor in it. It was available with a 131", 155" or 171" wheelbase. The beginning 4E16 serial number for 1959 was 45301, so it is near the beginning of production. If Matt can post the entire sequence from the bottom of the tag I can provide the front and rear axle ratings, the rear axle ratio and the brake equipment. It should read something like this:
4E16--155--5 F1 C S

the added information on the bottom of the tag started with the 5E series of trucks(that would be 1960 mbstude)

Well, from what's left of the truck (a cab with doors) it did have a few options. Doors locks in both doors, door visors, and the check mark trim as well. I think it had the 'Deluxe' script on it too.
