    I don't know who this guy is, but sounds like a good product...

    I wonder what grade aluminum he is using, thats an awful lot of stress
    on the section directly behind the rear mount. Add the vibration of
    the engine, altenator, and the belt and I think fatigue would set in
    if he didnt at least use 6061 structural grade. I think if I was to
    do it, I would have left material gusseting that rear mount down to a
    channel that the bolts set into. Possibly also not removing so much of
    the material in between the mounts also. Aluminum is light.

          It is steeluminum.

              I replaced the Prestolite in my '63 with a Delco by welding an extension on the original alternator bracket.
              Now, that engine is in my '53 and the generator bracket has been altered to hold the Sanden compressor.

              So, I have a spare bracket that can only be used to mount a Delco alternator on a V-8 Studebaker. If anyone wants it [u]send a PM.</u> I cover shipping. There's only one. First call only.
