  • Brake shoes and parts 63 lark??

Look for shoes and wheel cylinders for a 63 Lark wagonaire. Is this something that I can get at a local parts store? What sites are out there for parts for my car?

I and the other Studebaker Vendors have all the parts that are available at studebakervendors.com

The Front Brake Shoes are not available elsewhere.

If it is a v-8 car then the front shoes (11") aren't available new. They have to be relined or purchaced through a Studebake parts vendor as Rich said. However the rears for a v-8 car (10") can be purchased from any local parts store, as well as the fronts (10") and rears(9") for a 6 cyl car. The wheel cylinders are all available new and any local parts store.

IMHO, due to the small rear brakes, you will have way too much brake in the front relative to the rear...even without a proportioning valve. This may result in the car wanting to swap ends under heavy braking.

Do you know anyone that has done this combination?
