  • Time for others to step up and continue STF

Well, it's been fun ... and a fair amount of work ... to move membership in STF from 35 in June 2006 t0 330 members today.

With my last update today, I'm stepping aside and asking for a volunteer to respond here to maintain the list and continue recruiting Stude truck lovers to join Studebaker Truck Farmers. I'll send all info I've collected to the individual you all select.

I'm proud to be a member of STF (and will be for life) and I'm sure that there are members that will carry on. Special thanks to those like Frank Drumheller, Tom Molnar, Frank Borowec, and Jim Maxey for hosting STF functions and helping with many details to move the group forward wth dinners, sponsorships, websites, etc. I'm sure I've missed thanking many others by name, so this BIG THANKS is for all the unsung heroes.

Excellent job over the last 2 1/2 years, Bob.

It was yet another way to enjoy Studebakering.

Thanks for all your work. [^]

Thanks for the compliment Rich... but I'm not sure it would be that efficient to attempt the task from Canada with respect to the mailing of items et al. [?]
I'm also uncertain that I could do the portfolio justice as Bob F. has. [8)][?]

However, Bob, if you want to drop me an e-mail offline, I am willing to chat with you about it.

Bob I too am sorry to hear you are bowing out of the role of managing the STF. You have done a great job. Perhaps it would be easier to find someone willing to take over if there was something posted about what the job entails. I guess what I am suggesting is a job description.

Bob, I am unsure why you have resurrected this thread... I thought John (Stude289) had taken over the STF "duties"?

                        To Mark and Phil

No, this was just a dumb mistarke on my part. I was reviewing old posts and made the mistake of correcting my spelling, not thinking it would bump this thread to the top.

John is out there and doing a good job.

                        Sorry,
