I feel your pain. When I restored a solid 57 GH a few years back, I figured by doing all of it except paint, interior and chrome, I'd finish it for 10K, not the 23K I spent.

I was noticing that also, but for fear of going off topic I left it
out. I must say now though, I love the channel selector mod that is
done to help make contact. I remember getting up to run through the
channels during commercials a few times so we could finish watching
a TV show. I am 'only' 38 and I can say "these kids today ....."
