Tom, we need to get some input from the experts in early Studebaker vehicles. If this vehicle is what it is claimed to be, it belongs in the Studebaker National Museum.

I'd be willing to donate a C-note towards acquiring this on behalf of the Museum. Anybody else?

When I talking with the owner the other day, he said they had talked with the SNM curator about it in the past.
He was told they made a few prototype wagon models like it, but didn't have any photo's.
It has a plate that says Studebaker, but hard to confirm if the wagon was modified at the factory.
It's missing the motor and tiller, but could be restored and with factory photo's could identify the same sprocket and steering knuckles, etc. to verify original.
They have owned it for over 40 years.
It really needs to be saved and restored by someone.

I talked to the guy today I might buy it if i can get it home to pa reasonably. I live right in the middle of Amish county and have a couple of very skilled buggie/wagonmen handy. Some of these guys still use Stude Wagons.

Hell I'll take you guys up on the C-Notes & donate the labor

That's amazing, a real part of American history. Would there be any photos of something like this in the Studebaker archives?
