  • Front fender to body seal--glue in place?

When installing front fenders: The rubber seal or shim that goes between the rear of the fender and the cowl or firewall--do you glue that in place? I'm having a heck of a time trying to keep it where I want it while I tighten the bolts. It twists and squishes and bulges. Not the look I'm going for. Trying to keep it nice and even along the body line--just slightly inset.

The factory usually used masking tape on the body. [:0] I think a little weatherstrip cement would be a bit neater! [^]

I just hung my right fender the other day... I used blue masking tape and after the fender was tight, I tore it off. No sign of it up there.... now if only that fiberglass heater duct assembly I bought was made correctly... #$%#"?!)(
On the rear fender rubber... I sprayed some 3M undercoating on first & stuck the rubber to it.

When I installed my fenders last year I used the 3M Spray Adhesive, worked like a charm!
