I just bought this car, title says 60 Hawk. It seems to have some extras. (TT on the front fender, louvers and chrome) I was wondering if anyone can tell if these were factory options, or if some one added them later. I know some of you guys can tell me. I am really a 53 - 54 guy. Couldn't pass this car up. I'm down here in Alvin, Texas. This forum has really been alot of help to me over the last 5 years. Thanks, Gary Blalock [img][/img] [img][/img] [img][/img]

Trim on the hood added.Parking lights on the fenders from a 58 Golden Hawk. TT should be on the back of the Hawk. Louvers on back bottom of rear fenders added. Louvers are probably off of the hood scoop on a 58 Golden. Chrome thing with parking lights up front might be whats original.

That weird V thing on the hood isn't original, and those lights on top of the fenders aren't either, the factory turn signals on a 60 are the small lights in the side grills.
And as mentioned neither the funky scoop things on the lower rear fender are right nor is the location of the TT logo. Does the car actually HAVE Twin Traction?
I think that trim on the rockers is off a GT, but it's not stock either.
However I think the all the trim on the fins is correct.
My first car was a 60 Hawk and it's one of those cars I'm really sorry I let go.

Parking lights are from a 58. Lower fender, door and rear quarter trim is from a 56 GH. jimmijimsigpicAnything worth doing deserves your best shot. Do it right the first time. When you're done you will know it. { I'm just the guy who thinks he knows everything, my buddy is the guy who knows everything.} cheers jimmijim*****SDC***** member

Now that is a good looking Hawk!!quote:Originally posted by StudHawk60
The trim that runs along the top of the fin is not original on a 60, but I'd leave it. It makes for an excellent opportunity to paint the fin a different color. (Though that's not orignal to a 60 either)
Here's my 60 Hawk. Not a stock color, but all the trim is stock.

That is a gorgeous Hawk! I happen to have a '60 Hawk that I'm working on for/with my Grandson, and I'm going to show him yours for inspiration.
