Where's the limit on AM/FM's ???

I still will never understand it. To make a car show-correct? Nope. You can get 400 points with an AM. To enjoy a better selection of stations and listening? Nope. Any $200 unit available today will blow away these in every way, and are easy to conceal.
Must be a testosterone thing...

In watching an episode of "Livin' the Low Life" last night- not too closely, BTW- I about fell out of my chair when~- I saw a guy buy a rear view mirror with clock for $800 (give or take)
- A set of fog lights priced at $800 sold for $650
- A guy found the compass he needed, then paid $3000 for it!!!!

If you want logic, you need to drive a 4 year old Toyota Camary or Honda Accord .

No logic in those for me. My American brands do all they do, and more But I bet they'd make a good bonfire

Bragging rights...knowledgeable persons are aware of the rarity and expense and when you say "it's got the ( whatever ) on it" the boys can go "wow!".
In the case of some Studes, considering there weren't a ton of options to add to begin with the radio may complete the car to a point the owner can say "it's got everything".
How about the Lionel Train buffs that pay more for a cardboard box than the actual train car?

Yeah but guys, just THINK of it! You would own what probably is the ONLY brand [u]NEW</u> 1964 Studebaker AM/FM Radio on the PLANET! [:0]
Disclaimer, I have absolutely NO connection to the seller, his Kids or Grandkids or other relatives or associates!
I guess that would be until you install it, and turn it on!StudeRich

As has been suggested, when did you last see a complete NOS kit in the box? The market for anything is best guessed by trying to determine what comparables are bringing. Who can report the recent sale of an item like this? Nobody I know of. BPWe've got to quit saying, "How stupid can you be?" Too many people are taking it as a challenge.
