1942 Champion Custom 4 Dr. sedan. The 1126th body, not car of it's type that year. 1942's are very, very RARE! Might be a General's car!

Thanks Rich I was told that it was a 1939 President. I'm uploading photos now then I will include a link.

Definitely not a '42 Champion; more like a '39 President!

Hey I just posted what the tag said. Anybody know what I should tell him its worth or close. Its in the Central Valley, in California sure looks more like a Midwest Car. I always want to drag stuff home but this is out of my league.

I may be way wrong but I don't think it's a restoration project; greatest value is for parts. As is, probably couldn't get six or seven hundred. The lucky, and energetic, buyer will part out and realize five or six hundred percent profit.

                Other opinions welcome.

That tag must be 4C instead of 4G.

The tag looks pretty original, it has to be a 4C, it is a '38 Pres. Grille. The book says there were '38 Presidents (4C) and they did have a W3, it has no name though like most years: Custom, Regal, Deluxe something! It is the middle of the line between W2 and W6.

In that condition who knows the value, it is in the eye of the beholder I guess.

When comes to pre-war, all I know is what the Parts Catalog says!

Yes, a nice parts car. Probably $1500 retail in hard to get parts. Or, of course, you could restore it. About $40,000 later it could look like the one above. If you need hub caps I got 'em!
