  • 1962 Lark door latch

    Hello,
I am looking for a 1962 drivers door door latch for a 4 door Lark.
Maybe someone has one laying around, and want to sell it?
    Thank you,
    Eric

The part that goes on the door, or the part on the pillar?

If you have the terminology right, you need the part on the door (the rotary latch), since the "part on the body (pillar)" is the Striker![:0]

The part needed is the one that goes on the door. it will not "latch" when the door is closed.

That doesn't mean it's the Latch. The most common cause is a broken tab/spring on the Striker Plate.
Either way.. I have both available. I even have a set that's been zinc-plated

Why do some of these striker plates have the spring in them and some don't?
              Thanks

The design was changed several times and even the Mfg. may have been changed.
All of the latest supply that the original SASCO Studebaker Corp. had made and all of the '65-'66 Canadian production units on the cars had no long flat spring.
