  • Instrument cluster panel

I'm refinishing the woodgrain sections of the dash on the 63 Hawk. I have the glove box door and the radio section done(used Rvinyl, came out really nice) and now I have to do the instrument cluster section. Is it possiible to remove the 4 screws on the outer edge of the panel and drop that piece forward to remove the instrument gauges from the panel or do I have to remove the entire dash to do this. I already removed the 4 screws but it the panel does not want to budge and I don't want to force it and ruin it. Any and all suggestions appreciated.

You have to remove the gauges first... they "pinch" the dash panel to the fiberglass.
It's easiest with the dash out, but can be done without removal
