  • 1954 Rim Color

I am restoring a 1954 Commander Ragal Starlight Coupe. I have seen several variations of the rim color. Some are the actual color of the car and some are a red which by the way I think looks great. Can someone tell me what is the correct color and the name of the color if it is not the color of the car? Thanks

Wheel rim colors were discussed in TW some years ago. I am not an expert on 54s, but I think the rims were painted the lower body color.

Wheel color is dependent on several factors. Color of car, body style, single or two-tone, where the car was built.
On any two-tone 1954 C or K (2 door coupe or hardtop) though, wheels should be lower body color.
