Zone Meets

Does anyone have any information about when and or if, there will be a zone meet in the Los Angeles area? Might have reason to be out there and would enjoy timing it right to see the west coast folks.
When they do have them, where are the usually held?

I am planning an L.A. trip this summer, and would also be intrested in this info. I have some flexability, and who dosent love to add something fun like this to the itinirary.

LaPalma is the big meet in LA. Generally around Memorial Day. Their winter meet (January) is also a well attended event.

I believe the "zone" encompasses California, Utah, Nevada, and Arizona so it may not be in the LA area. Contact these folks to find out...

I don't know where McClellan is, but if the Staple Chapter is sponsoring it, it is probably in the Sacramento area.

Besides the Shows already mentioned- one other is the First 'Annual' (we hope) show that the San Diego SDC will be doing this year. We've already got a reservation in to use the grassy areas around the San Diego Automotive Museum near DownTown in Balboa Park. Like the other Annual Shows (LA's Winter Meet, and OEC's La Palma) our show will be a day event- no host hotel, banquet, or other stuff of that sort. Just show up, look at a bunch of Studies, and that's going to be about it.
More details will follow as we get a little further along in planning...

The May 15-16 Pacific Southwest Zone Meet is indeed in Sacramento. Its a nice follow up to the Sacramento International we had a couple years ago. That one was about 20 minutes from my house. The Zone Meet at McClellan is down the street from me, only 10 minutes away. I'm looking forward to it. If someone needs room to park a trailer or something, I've got room. As long as its not a tractor trailer. Streets are too small to maneuver one of those into the yard.

I received the info almost a month ago from Brian Curtis. Does your newsletter editor swap issues of V.I.S.T.A. with him? He would have probably found out at the same time as I did.

We swap newsletters with a few other Chapters in the Zone, but he did not know about it until this morning.

Hope it will work as this means both big events in our Zone (the Overdrive and the Zone Meet) will happen within 2 weeks of each other.
Hope attendance isn't affected. 'Course I know you will attend both events Craig.
