To get started, I plan on gathering information through this forum on the surviving GT's from current owners. This data will then be summarized into a registry format and made available to all owners and interested members.
A web site is being planned and will cover the history of the GT Hawks, photos, information and articles of interest, etc.
I will also be using the latest SDC Roster to identify owners worldwide, plus posting my contact information in Turning Wheels and with the SDC web site in order to contact as many GT owners as possible.
Please contact me at studee64@cogeco.ca and I will provide an information sheet to be completed and returned for input into the Registry. I can also be contacted at 905 632 7569.
Fred K. Fox articles tell me there were approximately 15,000 GT's built during 1962-64. Hopefully there are a lot of them still out there.
Your efforts will help to find the survivors, be they original, restored, under construction, or a parts car....they all count!
Thanks,
Barry
